Have you ever pictured yourself getting married in a rustic setting, with only a few of your closest friends and family members in attendance? Is it possible that you envision your wedding taking place in a quaint cabin tucked away in the untamed and picturesque landscape of the Smoky Mountains? This is one of the best smoky mountain wedding venues. Did you believe that a wedding like that could only happen in your dreams? Surprisingly, the answer is not yes. It is possible to hold a ceremony in such an extraordinary and one-of-a-kind setting.
Weddings that take place in the mystical Smoky Mountain region have a wide variety of options available to them in terms of settings. Spence Cabin, on the other hand, is one of a select few locations within the boundaries of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park where weddings are allowed to take place at one of the designated locations. This cabin is one of only two historic, rustic buildings in the park’s core that can be rented for receptions and other special events. The other building is the park’s visitor center.
The Spence Cabin is a popular location for weddings due to its stunning scenery. However, would-be brides and grooms need to be aware of the specifics and requirements before they book the venue. We are going to look into those specifics and make some recommendations.

Table of Contents
The trend these days is to have weddings at exotic locations. Concerns over COVID exposure caused many engaged couples to push back their weddings beyond the year 2020. Their eagerness to start their married lives together in 2021 has caused booking delays at a variety of destination locations.
You might want to think about having a rustic chic or cabin wedding, regardless of whether you plan to get married this summer or next. If that’s the case, the Smoky Mountains are the place to go. Spence Cabin has the potential to be the ideal location for an intimate ceremony with a limited number of guests. Or for the wedding reception if the ceremony itself is held at another location.
The goal of the Smoky Mountain Wedding Collective is to assist you in the planning of an outstanding occasion. Our main goal is to make it as easy as possible for you to acquire the knowledge and services that will make your wedding an event to remember. The following are some of the implications, in our view, of getting married at Spence Cabin.
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SPENCE CABIN
Due to the fact that this location is more rustic, you won’t find all of the traditional wedding venue features here. When organizing a wedding for the Spence Cabin, keep the following amenities in mind.
WARMING AND COOLING SYSTEMS
The rural area, which is located in the beautiful Smoky Mountains, is frequently naturally cooled during the warm seasons by the invigorating breezes that are generated by the nearby river. The historic cabin does not have either a heating or cooling system installed in it. However, in order to supplement the natural breezes, fans have been provided.
KITCHEN
The kitchen in the cabin is there for the convenience of those who are holding their weddings there. The area designated for food preparation is outfitted with countertops made of stainless steel, a double sink, a refrigerator, and a microwave oven. There is access to electrical outlets for the purpose of keeping food warm and to make catering easier.
There will not be any dishes, cutlery, napkins, or glasses provided for you. You or your caterer are responsible for providing them.
TABLES AND CHAIRS IN THE ROOM
At the reception, you won’t need to be concerned about renting chairs and tables for the serving tables because we’ll provide those for you. Your guests will have access to seating as well as tables during their visit.
